Nya’s goal of opening her own practice as a nurse practitioner stemmed from a childhood experience where the dedication of one nurse saved her life. Since that moment, her love of caring for others has continued to blossom. Her volunteer experiences at soup kitchens and mentoring students speak directly to her passion and will undoubtedly lead to success in earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing and beyond.
“The Marianna Brady PhD. Scholarship is not just financial support; it is the cornerstone of my dream to become a nurse. It allows me to focus entirely on my studies free from the burden of juggling a full-time job and academic responsibilities. As someone who has worked tirelessly while facing numerous personal and financial challenges, this scholarship feels like a beacon of hope. By this time next year, I will be a practicing nurse, ready to give back to the community that has supported me through thick and thin. The Marianna Brady PhD. Scholarship has put my once-impossible dream within reach and for that, I am profoundly grateful.”
Nya is the daughter of Alexis Crabb.
