When volunteering at her church and serving as a swim instructor and lifeguard, Isabella discovered she has a talent for working with children with disabilities. The joy and pride she feels when her students thrive has led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in human physiology. She plans to continue her education with the ultimate goal of obtaining an occupational therapy doctorate and working as a pediatric occupational therapist.
“Being a recipient of the Marianna Brady PhD. Scholarship is an immense honor and is extremely rewarding. Earning this scholarship will help me to cover some of my college expenses such as getting a new computer with less worry about how I will afford them. The stress about paying for college has been present throughout the application and decision process but this scholarship has alleviated many of those concerns. I feel so blessed to have been chosen for this award and know that it will serve as motivation as I pursue my undergraduate studies and will also be a reminder that hard work truly does pay off.”
Isabella is the daughter of Daly-Anne Morano.
