RICHARDSON, Texas – April 27, 2016 – Associa the industry’s largest community management firm, has made the most of its $450,000 training grant provided by the Texas Workforce Commission 18 months ago. Just this month, 15 Client Shared Service Center employees became Lean Six Sigma Certified through a Richland College program. They each completed a seven week long training course and took a three hour test to assess their knowledge and skills.
“Lean Six Sigma is a set of tools and techniques used for process improvement,” said Todd Strosnider, Associa’s vice president of organizational development. “Essentially, it helps you learn to identify the best ways to follow through on a process by minimizing error and ensuring quality. Getting trained in Lean Six Sigma is a big accomplishment and can greatly enhance your career path.”
“The grant we were awarded in October of 2014 had an 18 month window for employee training and we maximized every dollar during that timeframe,” added Associa Organizational Development Consultant Daphney Ford. “More than 400 employees took part in 10,000+ training hours in courses such as customer service, Excel and leadership development.”
