WAVERLY, Virginia – April 14, 2016 – Associa Community Group partnered with Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, to donate funds to a mother who lost her two year old son, boyfriend and brother in a deadly Virginia tornado earlier this year.
Associa Community Group’s Human Resources Generalist Michelle Woody personally presented a check for $2,500 to Trenika Stringfield of Waverly, Virginia. Stringfield has two other children who were at school at the time of the February 24 tornado and were not harmed.
“On behalf of the Associa Community Group family we would like to make this contribution to help you and your family reestablish your place within the community,” said Woody.
“We are glad to be of some assistance to this family,” added Associa Community Group President Scott Meardon. “We hope this Associa Cares donation, along with all the other community donations, will provide some relief in the face of this tragedy.”
