Associa Gives Away Fall Safety Block Party to Promote National Night Out

July 15, 2013

Dallas, TX - Associa and Associa Supports Kids (ASK) partner with National Night Out (NNO) to give away a free Fall Safety Block Party through the ASK/NNO Facebook sweepstakes.

“National  Night Out is the ideal partnership for Associa,” said Carol Piering,  Associa’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.  “In  fact, we could not imagine a better collaboration.  For 30 years,  National Night Out has worked to create safer communities across the  nation.  Together, we have the opportunity to make an even greater  impact on the families living in our neighborhoods throughout North  America.”

Associa, the national promotional sponsor for NNO 2013,  kicks off a Facebook promotion (July 15 to August 6) to promote  National Night Out.  Every time an individual “Likes” Associa’s Facebook  page (, he or she is entered into a sweepstakes to win a free Fall Safety Block Party, valued at $2,500.

Entering is easy! From July 15 to August 6, homeowners should “like” Associa’s Facebook page, then visit the "Win a Free Block Party"  tab, complete the entry form and submit their information. One winner,  chosen at random, will receive a free Fall Safety Block Party for their  community, valued at $2,500.

“We  are excited to welcome the support of Associa,” said Matt Peskin,  executive director of National Night Out and National Association of  Town Watch. “NNO is a great campaign that builds community spirit across  North America.  It only makes sense to partner with North America’s  largest community management firm.”

Entrants are encouraged to submit  their own community event photos or photos from previous NNO events to  be included in the NNO photo gallery on Associa’s Facebook page.

National  Night Out is a year-long community building campaign designed to:  heighten crime prevention awareness; generate support for, and  participation in, local anti crime programs; strengthen neighborhood  spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to  criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and  fighting back.

Associa  Supports Kids is a value-added program for Associa community residents,  designed to enhance the neighborhood community experience. The program  focuses on educating parents and kids about safety and fitness. At  neighborhood events, Scout, the ASK mascot, hands out Safety Tip  coloring books, plush Scout toys, rub-on tattoos, and Scout’s own  books  –  Scout Goes to the Beach, Scout Goes to a Sleepover and Scout Stays Active and Strong  – to each child in attendance.  Parents receive an ASK safety brochure  and a ChildPrint identification kit. In addition, ASK is focused on  keeping kids strong and healthy by promoting physical activity through  sports sponsorships.
